2024 National Health Center Week

August 4-10, 2024

Every August, the National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC) sponsors National Health Center Week (NHCW) to celebrate and increase awareness of America's over 1,400 community health centers (CHCs). National Health Center Week is an opportunity to highlight the commitment and passion of community health center staff, board members, and supporters who make it possible to provide quality, comprehensive healthcare services to more than 30 million patients across 14,5000 communities annually.

Coordinating NHCW celebrations around the corresponding focus days highlights the innovative ways community health centers provide high-quality care, improve health outcomes, and narrow health disparities in their communities. NHCW is also a great opportunity to engage in advocacy by inviting elected officials to an event or hosting a CHC site visit to share more about the amazing work CHCs do each and every day.

National Health Center Week is important because it aims to educate the public and elected officials about the value of community health centers; recognize community health center accomplishments, board members, staff, and patients; engage stakeholders, elected officials, and supporters in celebrating community health centers; highlight community health center priorities such as health center viability and a strong workforce; and host events that celebrate CHCs and the important role they hold in communities. Stay tuned as we wait for NACHC to announce this year's National Health Center Week Theme!
