Day at the Capitol 2019
Day at the Capitol is an annual event that welcomes physicians, clinicians, directors, and patients and health center advocates to Sacramento to engage with legislators and legislative staff about budget and legislative priorities impacting community health centers (CHCs). This year’s program will maintain valuable legislative visits, which help emphasize the importance of CHCs in the 2019 budget and legislative session. In addition, there will be a Legislator drop-in welcome and luncheon on the west steps of the capitol grounds, which will allow us to display a strong and unified statewide presence to the capitol community.

We are also  thrilled to provide another great “Coffee with Clinics” exhibitor opportunity for health centers across the state to showcase the amazing programs they have implemented that highlight the “above and beyond” aspects of the work that health centers accomplish on a daily basis.

Keynote Speaker: Richard Figueroa, Deputy Cabinet Secretary
We are excited to share that Richard Figueroa, Deputy Cabinet Secretary to Governor Gavin Newsom, will be our Day at the Capitol keynote speaker at our luncheon from noon to 1:30pm! Richard Figueroa previously served as the Director of Prevention and Affordable Care Act for The California Endowment, where he worked closely with the California Primary Care Association and CaliforniaHealth+ Advocates to advance the mission of community health centers and the 6.9 million patients they serve. We are honored and excited to have him as our keynote speaker.

Join us at Cafeteria 15L for our annual DAC reception!
The day will wrap up with a reception from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cafeteria 15L located at 1116 15th Street.

A special thank you to our reception sponsor, Nonstop Wellness!
